Master-Planned 8-Acre Retreat

This project was a complete estate build from the ground up. While the home was under construction, our experienced design team partnered with the homeowners to create a thoughtfully planned outdoor environment tailored for an incredible family and their lifestyle.

The project began on a 2.5-acre property, where we completed final grading and drainage to establish a solid foundation. From there, we constructed custom limestone retaining walls, developed all landscape beds, and installed a carefully selected mix of mature trees, shrubs, and plantings that truly brought the property to life. A full irrigation system was installed for both turf and landscape areas, followed by fresh sod and professionally designed landscape lighting to complete the space.

When designing the backyard, the homeowners thoughtfully considered not only their immediate family, but also extended family and friends. The focal point is a 40-foot pool featuring a tanning ledge for relaxing and a shallow play area perfect for younger children. The pool is finished with a water wall and slide and includes both an automatic cover and pool heater. Travertine coping surrounds the pool, while the deck and walkways are finished in concrete with a CoolCrete surface to keep temperatures comfortable for barefoot use. The pool area also features custom concrete pavers with artificial turf inlays, along with decorative rock, lush landscaping, and integrated landscape and hardscape lighting.

As the vision for the property expanded, the homeowners purchased the adjacent lots on both sides, transforming the space into a stunning 8-acre estate. These additional areas were completely regraded, irrigated, and overseeded. We added numerous trees and landscape beds throughout the property and incorporated extensive landscape lighting to unify the space. On both sides of the expanded estate, natural prairie areas were created, giving the property a distinctive and truly remarkable character.

Upon completion, we implemented a comprehensive lawn and landscape service plan to ensure the estate remains pristine and well-maintained throughout the year.
